About Me
Hi there!
I’m Ben — an accredited psychotherapist with over a decade of experience helping people improve their romantic relationships and navigate the quieter struggles that don’t always have a name. As a single dad who has their kiddo full-time, I know a thing or two about how messy the world of romantic relationships can be. I’m not going to pretend to be perfect; but, through my own therapy and training, I’ve become pretty decent at decision making, navigating fears, and feeling more resilient, confident, and more accepting of the past.
Clients who work with me either put too much of themselves into their partners, or don’t put in enough. They often struggle to date or find it hard to connect with others -- especially when they feel like they don’t have a good relationship with themselves. The couples I see get trapped in the cycle of emotional explosions, to not talking about what’s going on underneath. Oftentimes, my clients get caught in the carousal of “what-ifs.” Whether it’s dabbling in amateur MMA fights, running 24-hour races, or swimming in wild, frigid waters, I can relate to feelings of dread and panic when it comes to tasks that feel insurmountable (though, I promise, you don’t have to be as masochistic as I am to work though it!).
If you suspect that there’s something in the way that’s stopping you from connecting or feeling fully connected with your partner, this space is yours.
